Major CIS Changes:

• New CIS takes effect on 6 April 2007
• Cards, certificates, and vouchers will be replaced by verificaiton service and monthly returns.
• Most Subcontractors already registered will move over to the new scheme with their gross/net status as at 5 April 2007.
• Usually no need to verify any Subcontractor paid in current or previous 2 tax years.
• New Helpline and online services for CIS.
• Contractors will need to submith montly returns or incur a penalty.
